Lebanon Basketball Honors Jayden Bailey

The Lebanon basketball team honored teammate Jayden Bailey with a tribute at their playoff game just two days after his death from cancer.

At Beech High School's District 7-4A semifinal game, visitors found a tribute table featuring a photo of the 17-year-old Bailey holding a basketball with a visible scar from his recent arm amputation. A QR code linked to a GoFundMe page for his family's medical costs was also displayed.

Despite battling cancer for nearly four years, Bailey continued playing with passion, as coach Jim McDowell noted: 'He was a hooper, man, you hear me? He loved basketball.' His teammates felt his presence during their 46-44 victory.
