Mexico Names Roster for Iceland Friendly

Mexico has announced its roster for the February 25 friendly against Iceland, with Chivas contributing seven players to the squad.

Head coach Javier Aguirre called up Liga MX players exclusively for the match at Estadio Corregidora in Queretaro. Chivas leads the call-ups with seven representatives, including Mexican-Americans Brian Gutierrez and Richard Ledezma, who are seeking to earn spots in the 2026 World Cup squad.

The match serves as part of Mexico's preparation schedule, allowing the coaching staff to evaluate players. America and Toluca each contributed four players to the roster, with former USMNT players Efrain Alvarez also included among the selections.
