McVay Unfazed by Backward-Pass Rule Proposal

Rams coach Sean McVay said he would not lose sleep if the NFL rejects his backward‑pass rule proposal, which seeks to treat tipped backward passes that cross the line of scrimmage as fumbles. The proposal came after a controversial two‑point play in Week 16 at Seattle and also includes a 40‑second limit on booth reviews and a reversal of incomplete‑to‑backward‑pass rulings when the ball is recovered beyond the spot.

McVay emphasized the play was rare and that the rule would align with existing fumble rules, but he remains calm about the outcome.
