Colts' Anthony Richardson Needs Change of Scenery

According to ESPN's Aaron Schatz, Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. is among NFL players who could use a 'change of scenery' this offseason following inconsistent performances.

Richardson's early career with Indianapolis has been underwhelming, posting a 45.0 QBR in 4 starts as a rookie in 2023 and a 47.4 QBR in 11 starts in 2024. He missed nearly all of the 2025 season due to a fractured orbital bone suffered during pregame warmups.

With the Colts expected to re-sign Daniel Jones and second-year quarterback Riley Leonard showing promise in limited action, Richardson's future in Indianapolis appears uncertain. The 24-year-old former 4th overall pick carries a projected $10.8M cap hit for next season, leaving the franchise with a significant decision to make regarding his roster status.
