Chelsea told only one scenario can unlock Real Madrid midfielder’s exit

Real Madrid have drawn a clear line when it comes to the future of Aurelien Tchouameni.

Despite growing interest from the Premier League, the Spanish giants are not entertaining offers for the French midfielder, at least not under normal circumstances.

According to Fichajes, Los Blancos have internally defined strict conditions that would need to be met before even considering a sale.

In that sense, Tchouameni is a core piece of the project and not on the market.

Chelsea have continued to monitor the situation closely, making repeated enquiries in recent months.

However, the 26-year-old is viewed as a key asset ahead of next season’s challenges, both domestically and in Europe.

Inside the club, Tchouameni is considered untouchable. His contract runs until 2028, placing Madrid in a position of total control.

There is no financial urgency to sell, and the hierarchy is determined to protect squad stability. Any offer, regardless of size, would need to align with the club’s sporting vision.

So what now?

That said, there is one scenario that could open the door.

Real Madrid would only enter negotiations if Tchouameni himself formally requested a move this summer. Without that push from the player, the stance remains closed.

Even in that case, Madrid have set a clear condition that the only acceptable destination would be the Premier League.

The reasoning is that the club would not strengthen a direct European rival and would seek to maximise profit from any potential departure.

Chelsea are believed to be ready to present a significant salary increase in order to tempt the midfielder during what is considered the peak of his career.

Financially, the London club could structure a compelling proposal and sporting-wise, they would offer him a central role in their rebuild.

However, for now, the ball is not in Chelsea’s court. Real Madrid feel no pressure to cash in and see Tchouameni as fundamental under the current project led by Alvaro Arbeloa.

The French international understands his importance and remains committed to helping the club regain full control.
