ESPN Mock: Willis Signs with Vikings

In ESPN's mock negotiation scenario, Packers quarterback Malik Willis chose to sign with the Minnesota Vikings on a one-year, $20 million fully guaranteed deal over offers from the Cardinals and Jets.

ESPN conducted a mock negotiation with six reporters representing teams and Dan Graziano representing Willis. Three teams made offers: the Cardinals (2 years, $33 million), Jets (2 years, $40 million), and Vikings (1 year, $20 million fully guaranteed).

Graziano explained why Willis would choose Minnesota: 'Playing for O'Connell and quarterbacks coach Josh McCown, as well as throwing to Jefferson, would give Willis the best chance to have a huge year and really cash in next offseason.' The mock scenario suggests Willis prefers a one-year deal to maintain flexibility for potentially higher earnings next season.
