Fightful Select has clarified the timeline of Tommaso Ciampa's surprise AEW debut, debunking reports that he was scheduled to appear earlier while still under WWE contract.

After surprising wrestling fans with his January 28 appearance on AEW Dynamite, Ciampa quickly won and lost the TNT Championship. Fightful Select initially reported his debut was delayed a week due to weather, but later retracted this, confirming Ciampa was still WWE-bound until January 28. The 'Psycho Killer' revealed his AEW opportunity arose spontaneously during a Texas family vacation at a giraffe safari, allowing him to debut on Dynamite, win the title on Collision, and still enjoy his vacation.
