Pickens Pitches 15 K's as Tennessee Tops Appalachian State

Pickens started for the Lady Vols and delivered a dominant outing, pitching a complete game and recording 15 strikeouts, tying a career high. She threw 124 pitches, 75 strikes, and allowed only two hits and two earned runs, while walking four batters and giving up one home run.

Tennessee finished 6-2, with Ella Dodge hitting a three‑run homer in the eighth for four RBIs. The Lady Vols went 4‑for‑11 with two outs and 4‑for‑12 with runners on base. The top‑ranked team will return to play Belmont on Tuesday at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium.
