Kulkarni Appointed Oman Men’s Cricket Head Coach

Former Mumbai wicketkeeper Sulakshan Kulkarni has been appointed head coach of Oman’s men’s national cricket team, taking over from Duleep Mendis.

Oman Cricket announced on Saturday that former Mumbai wicketkeeper Sulakshan Kulkarni will lead the national side. Kulkarni, who served as Oman’s deputy head coach during the 2026 T20 World Cup, replaces Sri Lankan Duleep Mendis, who has moved to Chief Development Officer.

Kulkarni’s goal is to guide Oman toward qualification for the 50‑over World Cup in South Africa next year, with upcoming ICC CWC League 2 tri‑nation series in Nepal and Namibia. He previously coached Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy and guided Mumbai to a 2012‑13 title.
