Last-place Wolves stun third-place Villa 2-0

Last-place Wolverhampton secured a stunning 2-0 victory over third-placed Aston Villa in Premier League action on Friday evening.

The basement team produced a major upset as João Gomes scored both goals in the match. The first goal came 15 minutes into the second half when Gomes finished off a brilliant move from Adam Armstrong.

He sealed the win with a late counter-attack goal, leaving Aston Villa unable to find a response despite late pressure. Norwegian player David Møller Wolfe remained on the bench for the entire match.
