2026 F1 Rules: Drivers Still on the Edge, Says Verstappen

During a pre‑season test in Bahrain, the four reigning world champions and other drivers said they are still on the limit of the cars’ grip most of the time, even with lower downforce.

They noted that while energy management is now more critical, the core skill of braking late, cornering fast and exiting at top speed remains unchanged, proving driver ability still decides races.
