Gasperini has dinner with Francesco Totti

Francesco Totti is reportedly increasingly close to returning to Roma, with a role within the club yet to be determined.

He himself confirmed ongoing discussions regarding a possible return to Trigoria: “We’re evaluating a few options. Let’s see what we can do together,” he told Betsson.Sport.

In the same interview, there was talk of a dinner between the former Roma legend and Gian Piero Gasperini, Roma coach. However, a few hours later, Gasperini denied the rumors: “Gasp and I had dinner together three years ago. We weren’t even at the same table.”

As reported by Il Tempo, however, it happened: Totti and Gasperini found themselves at the same table.

This evening, March 2nd, the former captain and the Giallorossi coach had dinner together at “Rinaldi al Quirinale.”

After the Totti’s constant presence at the stadium and the coach’s words in a press conference: “It would be a great opportunity,” this is certainly another piece of the puzzle that sees a man who made Roma history ready to return to the club.

It’s a repeat: Totti has already held this role, but due to the lack of operational capacity, he decided to step aside. Now he’s ready to return, and the Friedkins are ready to make him happy.
