Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović had to miss training this week due to an undisclosed ailment, but there was no way the midfielder was going to miss his team’s 3-2 win in Der Klassiker over Borussia Dortmund.

“Everyone is happy about the win. I am too, of course. It was a very important game, a very important win, and we’re absolutely thrilled about it. It’s a very special game in a special atmosphere. The first half wasn’t easy, everyone could see that. We had trouble creating clear scoring opportunities. In the second half, things went much better. We were much more proactive, won a lot of second balls, and ultimately deserved the win,” Pavlović said (as captured by FCBayern.com).

While it was not pretty or easy, Pavlović is correct — everyone should feel good about grinding out three points in a tough environment. Borussia Dortmund was game and physical…and Bayern Munich responded.

That should leave the Bavarians eager to get back on the pitch.
