Michigan State hockey is welcoming in Ohio State for a two-game weekend series, where the Spartans aim to win their third straight Big Ten title. Although unlikely, it is possible for the Spartans to end up as champions tonight against the Buckeyes.

For Ohio State, they are scratching and clawing for the best possible position in the Big Ten Tournament, where they look to make a run at winning it to get into the NCAA Tournament.

While the Spartans were on the powerplay, they took a penalty of their own, starting 4-on-4 play. On the offensive zone faceoff for the Buckeyes, they buried the game's opening goal. Bryce Ingles got the goal assisted by Max Montes.
