Dodgers Name Skubal NLDS Game 1 Starter

Tarik Skubal, who was the Dodgers' biggest midseason acquisition from Detroit, will get the nod for the crucial matchup. The left-handed ace finished the regular season 3-2 with a 2.52 ERA in eight starts for the Dodgers after initially struggling in his first few games with the team. forestarrow.rest

Skubal's expected start could allow Yoshinobu Yamamoto or Blake Snell to pitch Game 2 for the Dodgers. The team (93-60) is in the postseason for the 14th consecutive season, tying the Braves' record from 1991-2005. The Braves' starter for Game 1 remains uncertain, though Chris Sale is presumed to be the likely choice.
