White Sox End Playoff Drought, Sweep Astros

The Chicago White Sox completed their remarkable turnaround by sweeping the Houston Astros 7-3 on Wednesday, marking the franchise's first playoff series victory since 2005. This historic achievement comes after the team lost 100 games in each of the previous three seasons, becoming the only team in MLB history to follow consecutive 100-loss seasons with a playoff berth. milkshake.it.com

Despite Munetaka Murakami's struggles at the plate (1 hit, 5 strikeouts in two games), the team celebrated their advancement to face AL Central champion Cleveland this weekend. "It means everything for our fans," Chase Meidroth said, who hit a three-run shot to seal the win. Manager Will Venable expressed pride in his team's unwavering belief throughout the season. "They maintained that belief... and they made it happen."
