Louis Barré Wins Queen Stage, Takes Yellow at Tour de Pologne

French rider Louis Barré claimed victory in the queen stage of the Tour de Pologne on Saturday, soloing to the line and securing the first win of his professional career. Christian Scaroni (Astana) took over the yellow jersey, leading Barré by three seconds ahead of the final time trial.

Barré attacked Colombian Santiago Buitrago with 13.8 kilometers remaining to win the stage between Bukovina Terma and Bukowina Tatrzanska. The Visma-Lease a Bike rider now leads the general classification by a narrow margin over Scaroni, with Dutch rider Bart Lemmen sitting third. playerbros.org
