White Sox Select Cholowsky No. 1 in MLB Draft

Cholowsky, a 6-foot-2 right-handed hitter, was a Golden Spikes finalist at UCLA. He posted a 1.088 OPS with 21 homers and 60 RBIs in his junior season. He returned for a third season at UCLA instead of entering the 2025 draft, helping the Bruins become the first college team to be ranked No. 1 end-to-end.

UCLA finished 48-6 overall (28-2 in Big Ten), won the conference tournament, and earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
