Sha'Carri Richardson became only the third woman to win the Stawell Gift from scratch, recording 13.08 seconds to claim the A$40,000 prize.

Richardson, the Olympic 100m silver medallist, overcame a 10‑metre handicap to win the iconic Australian race. She finished in 13.08 seconds, beating 19‑year‑old Charlotte Nielsen who started with a nine‑metre head‑start, and took the A$40,000 prize pot.
