Bosnia and Herzegovina have qualified for the World Cup after defeating Italy in a penalty shootout, denying the Azzurri a spot for the third consecutive tournament.

Italy missed out on the World Cup for the third straight time, suffering a 4-4 shootout loss to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday.

Despite falling behind early to Moise Kean, Bosnia played a dominant game and kept their nerve in the shootout to book their place in the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
