U.S. Men's Hockey Gold Game Draws 20.7M Viewers

The U.S. men's hockey gold medal victory over Canada averaged 20.7 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and USA Network, making it the second-most watched hockey game in NBC history.

The Olympic showdown between the U.S. and Canada recorded an average live audience of 18.6 million viewers on NBC and Peacock between 8:15 a.m.-11 a.m. ET. Jack Hughes' overtime winner secured the U.S. men's first Olympic hockey gold medal since the 1980 "Miracle on Ice."

Thursday's Olympic coverage also saw strong viewership for the U.S. women's gold medal game against Canada, which drew 5.3 million viewers and set a record for women's hockey. The overall Olympics day averaged 26.7 million viewers, the largest Winter Games weekday audience since 2014.
