Toyota Racing Development (TRD) announced Monday it has signed 13‑year‑old Keelan Harvick, the third‑generation driver and son of former Cup champion Kevin Harvick, to a long‑term development contract. Harvick said he wants to follow in his father's footsteps and reach the Cup Series.
TRD will pair Harvick with RACKLEY W.A.R. and Kevin Harvick, Inc. to run a schedule of late‑model races nationwide in a No. 62 Toyota Camry backed by ExxonMobil. The move follows a shift from a European racing path after a karting event in Italy that highlighted the U.S. motorsport scene.
