Lions Mocked Mesidor to Pair with Hutchinson

NFL Network projects Miami defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor to the Lions at pick No. 17 in the 2026 draft to complement Pro Bowler Aidan Hutchinson.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound edge rusher had 63 tackles, 12.5 sacks and four forced fumbles last season. Mesidor was particularly effective in Miami's four-game College Football Playoff run, registering 5.5 sacks.

While the Lions might consider offensive line options like Alabama's Kadyn Proctor or Clemson's Blake Miller at pick No. 17, both Charles Davis and Daniel Jeremiah have mocked Mesidor to Detroit. The 25-year-old would help bolster a pass rush that already features All-Pro Hutchinson.
