Incredible clash with Hibs at Celtic Park in February 1996

In February 1996, a bizarre injury to Hibs goalkeeper Jim Leighton forced Darren Jackson to play in goal, a decision that changed the match's outcome.

John Collins’ collision with Leighton left the keeper stretchered off with a head wound. Celtic immediately scored via a tap-in from Pierre Van Hoojidonk after Jackson fumbled a high ball.

Remarkably, despite Leighton returning to the pitch, the referee refused to allow him back in the match due to his injury, leaving Jackson in goal and Leighton on the sidelines.
