Claressa Shields: Best American Heavyweight

Claressa Shields, a woman, holds all women's heavyweight titles and is considered America's best current heavyweight champion.

Claressa Shields, with a professional record of 17-0 (3 KOs), has become the best American heavyweight boxer despite being a woman in a traditionally male-dominated division. The 30-year-old athlete holds the WBC, IBF and WBO women's heavyweight titles and has previously won world championships at super welterweight, middleweight, super middleweight and light weight classes.

A two-time Olympic gold medalist from 2012 and 2016, Shields calls herself the "Greatest Woman of All Time" or GWOAT. Her dominance in the sport is recognized beyond boxing, with a documentary ("T-Rex") and feature film ("The Fire Inside") about her life. In November, she announced an $8 million contract with Wynn Records and Salita Promotions for the next two years.
