Moore Granted Hearing to Challenge Arrest After Michigan Firing

A judge has approved a hearing for former Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore, allowing his lawyers to challenge the basis of his arrest after he was fired for an alleged inappropriate relationship.

A judge granted Moore’s motion for an evidentiary hearing on March 2, giving his attorneys a chance to argue that the arrest was based on incomplete information about the alleged victim’s work relationship with the football program.

Moore was fired in December for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a staff member and was arrested hours later on charges of third‑degree home invasion, stalking and breaking and entering. He maintains his innocence and seeks to have the case dismissed.
