St. Thomas Basketball Honors Supporter During Championship Run

University of St. Thomas men's basketball team, ranked No. 4 in Division III, honored longtime supporter Dr. Jack Follis while pursuing their eighth straight championship.

The Celts have built a championship program under four-time Coach of the Year Anthony Medina, known for their stifling defense. 'We're the best defense we're going to play against,' said guard Corey Thompson. The team has been dominant recently, posting a 112-20 record over the last five seasons with only eight conference losses.

During a recent game against Texas Lutheran College, the UST community celebrated Dr. Follis, described as the university's biggest athletics fan. A plaque will be displayed at his usual spot in Jerabeck Center, where he stood at every game for years. 'He genuinely supported them in the things they cared about,' Coach Medina said.
