Mexico Forces Liga MX Players to Camp or Lose World Cup Spot

The Mexican Football Federation warned that Liga MX players who miss a mandatory training camp in Mexico City will be excluded from the 2026 World Cup squad.

The FMF has issued a deadline of 8 p.m. local time on 7 May for 20 selected Liga MX players to report to a camp at the High‑Performance Centre in Mexico City. Players who miss the camp will be dropped from the squad, even though the camp conflicts with Liga MX play‑offs and Concacaf Champions Cup matches.
