McCarthy: Giants Trade Was Shock, Opportunity

McCarthy, the 2024 first-round pick acquired from the Vikings this week, acknowledged that his time in Minnesota didn't go as planned. 'There are a multitude of things you could think of' to explain the situation, he told ESPN, but emphasized that the focus now is making the most of his current opportunity with the Giants.

The team hasn't confirmed whether McCarthy will back up Jameis Winston this Sunday against the Cardinals, though he's expected to see playing time soon. While the Giants may not be his long-term home once Jaxson Dart returns, a strong performance could open doors elsewhere in the league. sport-newz.biz
