Former Broncos, Dolphins, Raiders LB Jerry Wayne Hopkins dies at 85

Former NFL linebacker Jerry Wayne Hopkins passed away at the age of 85. The Texas native played center and linebacker at Texas A&M before being drafted by the Houston Oilers in 1963. He later played four seasons for the Denver Broncos, one with the Miami Dolphins, and one with the Oakland Raiders.

Hopkins owned and operated the Hopkins Oil Company following his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Joan Brooks Hopkins, his son Jerry Hopkins Jr., his daughter Allison Hopkins, and his granddaughter Parker Hopkins. noplasticplease.life
