Browns Backtrack on A.J. Epenesa Deal After Physical Issues

The Cleveland Browns have decided not to finalize a one-year deal with defensive end A.J. Epenesa after concerns arose from his physical examination.

The agreement was worth up to $5 million, but the team ultimately decided not to proceed. Sources indicate the decision stemmed from Epenesa's physical results.

The 2020 second-round pick will now revert to the open market, where he can negotiate with other teams. Epenesa has appeared in 91 games for the Buffalo Bills over six NFL seasons.
