Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2026 Match 47 Prediction

Mumbai Indians vs Lucknow Super Giants IPL 2026 Match 47 Prediction

MI Vs LSG Match Prediction: The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League, the world’s most popular franchise cricket league, will be held in 2026. IPL 2026 will feature 10 teams competing for the world’s most prestigious franchise cricket competition trophy.

The Mumbai Indians are the joint-most successful team in the IPL, winning the competition five times. Because of that, they are one of the most popular cricket teams in the world. GT has always had one of the best pools of Indian talent on its side, and that is exactly what it brings into this season, looking to win it all for a record sixth time.

The Mumbai Indians have had a poor start to this season. In their first game, they defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders before losing to the Delhi Capitals in their second. Then came back to back defeat against the Royal duo, first to the Rajasthan Royals, then against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They then made it four in a row with a loss to the Punjab Kings. They have now won their second game of the season against the Gujarat Titans realschule-moosburg.de

MI was recently thrashed by arch-rivals Chennai Super Kings, losing by over 100 runs. They then lost a high-scoring game to the Sunrisers Hyderabad, where over 500 runs were made in 40 overs. They also have a game against the Chennai Super Kings before this one. With two wins, six losses, four points, and a poor net run rate, they are currently ninth on the points table

Meanwhile, the Lucknow Super Giants is one of the two expansion teams from 2022. However, unlike GT, they have yet to win the IPL title. They had been consistent for the first two years of their existence, making it to the playoffs, but they haven’t done so in the last two seasons. This year, under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, they would like to add a star to their newly designed team crest.

The Super Giants were beaten by the Delhi Capitals in their opening game, before beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their second. Their third game against the Kolkata Knight Riders ended in a thrilling win. Their next game ended in a loss to the Gujarat Titans. Most recently, they were thrashed by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru before being dominated by the Punjab Kings. This was followed by a defeat to the Rajasthan Royals in a low-scoring game

They then lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders in a thriller that went to a Super Over. With two wins, six losses, four points, and the worst net run rate in the league, Lucknow is currently at the bottom of the points table.

MI Vs LSG Match 47 IPL 2026 Wankhede Stadium Pitch Report

Typically, the pitches at the Wankhede Stadium are perfect for T20 cricket. In the initial overs of an inning, light grass and sea-breeze from the neighbouring Arabian Sea allow the ball to move in the air, especially in the powerplay. However, once the ball and the pitch settle down, the batters enjoy batting on a track where the ball comes onto the bat. One of the most iconic stadiums in world cricket, the Wankhede will allow for a fair competition between the bat and the ball, with batters waking out a slight advantage on most occasions here. The square boundaries here are somewhere between 64 and 69m in length. Meanwhile, the straight boundaries go as far as 76m away from the batters.

EXCLUSIVE | Bumrah, Gayle, and Klaasen: Jonty Rhodes Reveals Dream Picks for Rotterdam ETPL Franchise

Jonty Rhodes (PC-X)

The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is poised to reshape the cricketing landscape on the continent, and South African fielding icon Jonty Rhodes is stepping into an entirely new role to ensure its success. Partnering with national compatriots, Faf du Plessis and Heinrich Klaasen, alongside Managing Partner Madhukar Shree, Rhodes has officially acquired the Rotterdam franchise for Europe’s first ICC-sanctioned T20 competition. Scheduled to run from August 26 to September 20, the inaugural ETPL will feature 33 high-octane matches across six vibrant European cities.

For Rhodes, this venture marks a significant professional transition. “I’ve retired from coaching twice, I’ve retired from playing twice, but this is the first time I’ve come in as a co-owner in cricket,” Rhodes revealed in an exclusive interview with Revsportz. Fully embracing his new operational focus, he added, “I need to remember, ‘stay in your lane, Jonty’, so I’m not going there as a coach. I’m just ensuring that players like Faf and Heinrich Klaasen can focus on what they have to do on the field, and I’ll be trying to ensure that all the off-the-field scenarios are taken care of for them.”

The Rotterdam franchise aims to leverage the city’s strategic geographic and cultural positioning. Rhodes envisions a powerful cross-continental synergy that connects European, Indian, and Southern African cricketing communities. “Rotterdam is a gateway to Europe,” he noted, emphasising that the collective mission extends far beyond securing immediate silverware.

“We want to give players a platform to show, and then also inspire other franchises or other leagues to start up,” Rhodes explained. “It’s not just about growing the players, it’s about growing the infrastructure. What sort of pipeline do we have to ensure that the players that we identify, the local talent, that we can get them to play cricket… that for me, I think as a co-owner, will be as important as winning the trophy.”

While acknowledging the financial realities compared to behemoths like the IPL, Rhodes remains confident that strong ownership connections will naturally attract elite talent to the Dutch port city. When pressed on his absolute dream recruits to join Klaasen in the Rotterdam setup, the legendary cricketer didn’t hesitate.

“Someone like a Chris Gayle would be an awesome start for a Heinrich Klaasen to walk into,” Rhodes smiled, appreciating Gayle’s undeniable impact in the format. “And then, somebody like a Bumrah. When he’s knocking over the stumps at the death, he would be awesome.”

Al Qadsiah stun Al Nassr 3-1 in Saudi Pro League shock

Dammam (Saudi Arabia), May 4 (ANI): Al Qadsiah delivered a statement performance on Sunday, defeating league leaders Al Nassr 3-1 in a Saudi Pro League 2025-26 clash at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium on Sunday.

The result not only dented Al Nassr’s title charge but also ended their 20-match winning run in the league, tightening the race at the top as the season approaches its decisive phase, according to ESPN.

Al Qadsiah took the lead in the 24th minute through Mohammed Abu Al Shamat, capitalising on early pressure and defensive gaps in the Al Nassr backline. The visitors responded before half-time when João Felix restored parity in the 39th minute with a composed finish, ensuring the teams went into the break level at 1-1.

After the half-mark, Al Qadsiah regained control. Musab Fahd Aljuwayr struck in the 55th minute to restore the lead, finishing a well-worked move from midfield.

Al Nassr pushed for an equaliser but were exposed on the counter, and Julian Quinones sealed the result in the 78th minute with a clinical strike, making it 3-1. The home side managed the closing stages comfortably, denying Al Nassr any route back into the contest.

With the victory, Al Qadsiah strengthened their position in the top four of the table with 68 points from 31 matches.

Al Nassr remain top with 79 points, followed by Al Hilal in second with 74 points and Al Ahli in third with 69 points. Al Taawoun complete the top five with 52 points, keeping the battle for Asian qualification and the title race intensely competitive as the season enters its final stretch.

The defeat marks a rare setback for Al Nassr after a dominant run of form, while Al Qadsiah continue their impressive campaign with a significant win over one of the league’s strongest sides, boosting their confidence and standing as they continue to push for continental qualification places. IPL 2026: ‘Credit to our spinners for taking wickets regularly’

Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Ajinkya Rahane on Sunday lavished praise on his bowling unit for its consistency over the last few games, crediting it for restricting Sunrisers Hyderabad to a below-par total and setting up the seven-wicket win in an IPL match here.

Varun Chakravarthy (3-36) and milestone man Sunil Narine (2-31) played key roles in bowling out SRH for 165 in 19 overs as KKR chased down the target with 10 balls to spare to register their third successive win.

Ajinkya Rahane

“Very good game. The way we came back with the ball. Looked like they will get 190-200. It would’ve been challenging to chase. But credit to our bowling unit, especially the spinners. They kept taking wickets,” Rahane said during the post-match presentation.

“Those small moments are really important, really happy with the win. The bowling unit has been doing really well in last 5-6 games,” Rahane added.
Meanwhile, SRH captain Pat Cummins said his batters failed to adapt after a strong start and ended up with a below-par total.

“Not our best day. We had a pretty good start, but then we weren’t at our sharpest. Probably aimed for 200 and then 180, but it wasn’t meant to be. You just need to adapt,” Cummins said.

Brief scores
SRH 165 all out in 19 overs (T Head 61, I Kishan 42; V Chakravarthy 3-36, S Narine 2-31) lost to KKR 169-3 in 18.2 overs (A Raghuvanshi 59, A Rahane 43) by seven wickets
