Head coach believes team can go far at tournament
Heat and humidity will be obstacles to overcome but England have full belief in their ability and can go far at the World Cup, Thomas Tuchel has said. The head coach has received help from Team GB, drawing on their Olympic experiences, and other specialists to find solutions for the weather conditions.
Some of Tuchel’s 26-player squad flew from Birmingham to Miami on Monday for a 10-day hot-weather acclimatisation camp. Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze have been given more time to recover after Saturday’s Champions League final and Crystal Palace’s Dean Henderson, who played the Conference League final last week, is also expected to be a later arrival.

As soon as 4:01 p.m. ET on Monday, the deal can be made. As soon as Tuesday, it can become official.
So what will the Eagles get from the Patriots for the balance of the A.J. Brown contract?
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles will get New England’s first-round pick in 2028.
The Eagles lacked significant leverage. The relationship had already run its course. The cap consequences after 2026 would have become more challenging. And no other team ever materialized as an option.
As McLane notes, the trade also allows the Eagles to avoid $133.1 million in cash obligations under the contract.
It feels like a matter of "when" not "if," and the "when" is likely coming soon. If/when the Eagles emerge with the Patriots' first-round pick in 2028, Philly will have a direct hand in pushing that pick higher in the pecking order — the two teams will play each other during the 2027 regular season.
Jets sign LB Chase Wilson, WR Da'Quan Felton
The Jets signed a couple of players to their 90-man roster on Monday.
They announced the additions of linebacker Chase Wilson and wide receiver Da'Quan Felton. They also confirmed that they have waived kicker Lenny Krieg and linebacker Kobe King.
Wilson tried out for the Jets at their rookie minicamp. He had 46 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions while playing for West Virginia last season.
Felton signed with the Giants after going undrafted in 2025 and he spent the entire season on injured reserve. He had 70 receptions for 1,027 yards and 10 touchdowns while at Virginia Tech.
Giants sign Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell Beckham Jr. is coming back to where his NFL career started.
Shortly after multiple reports on Monday said that Beckham will sign with the Giants as a free agent, the Giants announced the agreement. Beckham worked out for the team the second time this offseason earlier in the day.
Beckham was a 2014 first-round pick and was named the offensive rookie of the year after catching 91 passes during his first NFL season. He had 197 catches over the next two seasons, but missed most of 2017 after fracturing his ankle and dropped to 77 catches after signing a contract extension ahead of the 2018 season. He was traded to the Browns the next year and went on to play for the Rams, Ravens, and Dolphins before sitting out all of last season.
Beckham played for first-year Giants head coach John Harbaugh while with Baltimore in 2023, so it will be a dual reunion for the wideout now that he's back with the NFC East club.
The Giants are also signing wide receiver Braxton Berrios after a Monday workout.
