Christian Pulisic suffered leg fracture in US loss to Belgium, out for several weeks

Pulisic had been criticized for his lack of availability
Christian Pulisic suffered a microfracture and bone bruise in his leg in the United States’ 4-1 loss to Belgium in the World Cup last 16 on Monday, US Soccer announced.
Pulisic suffered the injury in the second half in Seattle and was removed shortly afterward. He underwent X-ray and MRI scans on Tuesday to determine the extent of the injury, which is expected to keep Pulisic out for several weeks. US Soccer said the federation and Milan are working collaboratively on his rehab plan.

The NFL's global flag-football initiative includes an effort to make the sport more popular domestically. It includes the establishment of professional flag-football leagues, men's and women's, to debut in 2027.
Via Bret McCormick of Sports Business Journal, images of the modular venue for the games have emerged.
The league has previously suggested that the arena could be portable, with the thing moving from city to city like a big top. Per McCormick, the first year will be played in a single location. Moving forward, it'll expand to other locations.
The estimated cost of the facility wasn't disclosed. In all, the NFL has $160 million earmarked for the new endeavor.
There will be many more details to come, including (we assume) the specific rules for the NFL's version of the sport. It's possible that the league will add tweaks aimed at making flag football less like a pinball machine with a pigskin in it and more like a 7-on-7 competition.
Regardless, the NFL is going all-in on flag football. The only question is whether enough fans of tackle football will make the pivot to a brand of the sport that lacks helmets, pads, and hitting.
