Bronson Reed Injury Shows The Vision Cursed and Needs to End: Ideas For What to do With Heyman, Paul & Theory

WWE

Professional wrestling is a very physical and dangerous business. Injuries are a consistent work hazard, and sometimes performers incur trauma that requires long stays on the sideline. WWE was hit with another notable one on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw with Bronson Reed.

During his Elimination Chamber qualifier match against Jey Uso, the OG El Grande Americano tore his bicep while trying to break up a pin attempt. The member of The Vision could be sidelined for anywhere between three and nine months. While an injury is unfortunate, it’s not shocking. However, Reed’s setback is different.

It is the third major injury to a core member of the faction. At this point is feels like The Vision and the storyline that formed the group is cursed, and it just needs to be scrapped from WWE television.

Why The Vision Storyline is Dead

Reed’s injury comes just a couple of weeks after Bron Breakker was forced into surgery after developing a serious hernia. And those injuries came a few months after the person who originally led and formed the group, Seth Rollins, suffered a major shoulder injury.

Besides “The Oracle” Paul Heyman, it leaves Logan Paul and Austin Theory as the only members left standing. Two later additions to The Vision that have delivered underwhelming results. As good as Heyman is as a mouthpiece, Paul and Theory lack a ton of sizzle for fans.

With the Breaker and Reed months away from a return, there is only one thing WWE should do with the group and storyline: let it die and take the remaining members in new directions.

Put Paul Heyman Back with Brock Lesnar, Officially

Despite being the manager of The Vision, Heyman is back to working for Brock Lesnar. He even did all the talking to reveal the WWE icon is making an open challenge to any WWE star for WrestleMania 42. While we have seen the duo together for decades it is still the best presentation for “The Beast.”

If Lesnar is closing in on his own retirement, as has been rumored, he and Heyman playing the hits for one last run makes sense until the company figures out a new direction for the ECW founder later this year or in 2027.

Logan Paul Should be the First to Break Away from The Vision

Paul was always an odd fit for The Vision. While he is as good an athlete as anyone in the group, his personality and ego just seem way too big for the faction. The company has big hopes for the YouTube influencer, but his addition to this group was a disappointment. That is why he must be the first one to put the nail in the coffin of The Vision.

Paul saying he is done with being surrounded by a bunch of injury-prone disappointments would be a good way to build some new momentum for him and take him in a different direction. Maybe the direction is a match with Bad Bunny at WrestleMania 42.

Austin Theory Needs to Find Himself Outside of WWE

Austin Theory has talent. He has a great look, underrated charisma, and is a rock-solid wrestler. But it just feels like there isn’t anything else the company can do to make him a success. He has had a few character reboots, including a return to NXT and being pushed to the moon with a win over John Cena at WrestleMania a few years ago.

WWE has tried all it can with Theory. In a time where the business outside of WWE is strong, it may be time for him to be allowed to discover who he is as a wrestler on the independent scene.
