Contract projections and predicting if Jaguars re-sign top free agents

What might several of the Jacksonville Jaguars' top free agents on offense earn this offseason on their new contracts?

ESPN's Bill Barnwell recently put the best free agents on offense into tiers and then predicted what their contract values might look like.

Below are Barnwell's contract projections for those players, and then we'll predict whether or not the Jaguars re-sign them.

RB Travis Etienne

At running back, Barnwell put Travis Etienne into Tier 3, the "Capable Starters" category. This tier comes with a projected average annual salary of $8-12 million.

Prediction: Jaguars do not re-sign Etienne.

Etienne is a very good fit for the Liam Coen offense and had a productive 2025 season. However, the Jaguars also planned for this moment, drafting Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen last April.

The Jaguars also don't have an abundance of salary cap space at the moment, so those resources could be utilized on more pressing needs than running back -- like defensive tackle or cornerback.

WR Dyami Brown

Barnwell placed Brown in Tier 6 among the wide receivers. This category is called the "Backups likely to earn roster spot," and those in it are projected to earn $1-2 million in free agency.

Prediction: Jaguars do not re-sign Brown

As the season progressed, Brown's role was reduced and eventually became nonexistent, with him even being a healthy scratch in some games. The Jaguars will move on.

WR Tim Patrick

Like Brown, Patrick was placed in Tier 6 and is projected to earn $1-2 million on his next deal.

Prediction: Jaguars re-sign Patrick.

Patrick jumped Brown on the depth chart and filled the WR4 role with Travis Hunter sidelined. He is a good fit for Liam Coen's offense, willing to do the dirty work in the run game and attack the middle and intermediate parts of the field.

Patrick will provide veteran depth and won't prevent Gladstone from further adding to this unit in the draft if that's the direction he wants to go.

TE Quintin Morris

Morris was placed in the tight end version of Tier 6 -- "Backups likely to earn roster spot" category. This also comes with a projected contract value of $1-2 million.

Prediction: Jaguars re-sign Morris.

Morris emerged and worked his way into the TE2 role during the second half of the season. His primary role on offense came as a blocker, and in addition to that, Morris was a core special teams contributor for the Jaguars.
