Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry had another successful season for the team, rushing for over 1500 yards and 16 touchdowns.
While most running backs are at the end of their careers, Henry is still at the top of his game at the age of 31.
While at the Super Bowl, Henry was asked about his former school, Alabama, and what the Crimson Tide needs to go to regain its place atop the college football world.
This past season, the Crimson Tide won 11 games, finished second in the SEC, and made the College Football Playoff.
But some fans weren’t happy with how the season played out, especially their blowout loss to Indiana.
But Henry says all is not lost, and says Bama players have to be willing to fight for it.
“If you care about it, if it means something to you -- not just the money, the market stuff and all that. I mean, that’s a given. It’s already in college football. But as far as you as a man and your integrity, what are you willing to do to get that program to where it once was?” he said via Al.com.
Henry added, “And I know kids, if you don’t play, you can go to another program. But when we were there, we were working, and we wanted to build our own legacy. We heard about the ones that came before us. But what’re you going to do with your time there? And I feel like the only way we going to get back is if you lock into that and go do that. And I feel like they will.”
