Italy head coach Gennaro Gattuso has no interest in freezing Inter Milan star Alessandro Bastoni out of the squad.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, Gattuso won’t let media pressure influence his decision-making process.
Saturday’s Derby d’Italia clash at Stadio San Siro divided opinion across Italy, with the 26-year-old antics dominating headlines.
Despite his household status in Italian football, Alessandro Bastoni gained notoriety for his actions in the derby.
Indeed, he made referee Federico La Penna send off Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu over a non-existent foul play.

Bastoni has already had to turn off comments on his Instagram profile after receiving a series of death threats from Juventus supporters.
Furthermore, some of them have urged Gattusso to leave the Inter center-back out of his squad for March’s clash against Northern Ireland.
However, Bastoni has been a cornerstone of Italy’s defense for years.
Therefore, Gattuso has no intention of punishing his defensive stalwart, especially now that Italy’s FIFA World Cup qualification is on the line.
