Jacksonville Jaguars' linebacker Dennis Gardeck is set to be a free agent this upcoming offseason.
So what might his next contract look like, and will the Jaguars re-sign him?
Dennis Gardeck contract projection
According to Spotrac, Gardeck is projected to sign a one-year deal in free agency worth $2.53 million. Gardeck will be entering his age 31 season.
In terms of player age, contract status, and statistical production, Derek Barnett, LJ Collier, and Joshua Uche were used by Spotrac as comparisons to determine what Gardeck's deal could be.
Will the Jaguars re-sign Dennis Gardeck?
The 2025 season was Gardeck's first in Jacksonville, and he filled quite a few roles for this team.
Listed as a linebacker, the majority of Gardeck's snaps came as a pass rusher, although he saw opportunities at linebacker as well. Gardeck finished the season with 25 pressures, three sacks, and 35 total tackles.
He was also a core special teams contributor, playing 283 snaps across five of the six different phases.
Gardeck is a player who, early on, caught the attention of Liam Coen last season.
With Devin Lloyd potentially heading elsewhere and depth at defensive end needed, my guess is that Gardeck returns -- and I wouldn't be surprised if it's on more than a one-year deal.
