Basketball’s brightest stars will take center stage for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday. The 75th annual showcase will be played at 2:00 PM PT in Inglewood, California and will be broadcast nationally on NBC and Peacock.
Previously at the All-Star Game:
Last year’s All-Star festivities were held in San Francisco at the Chase Center and featured a new tournament-style format. Four teams, drafted by then-TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Candace Parker, competed in a single-elimination event. Shaq’s OGs defeated Chuck’s Global Stars 41–25 in the championship, with Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry earning All-Star MVP honors on his home floor.
What to watch for tonight:
Although Curry was selected as an All-Star for the 12th time in his career, he will not participate in today’s game as he continues to recover from a knee injury. However, there will still be plenty to watch for as the league debuts a revamped format in the theme of USA vs. the World.
Three teams will compete — two American squads divided by age (USA Stars and USA Stripes) and one international group (Team World). Each team will face each other in a 12-minute game, with the top two advancing to a final matchup to determine the All-Star champion.
With a new format putting a spotlight on the worldwide growth of basketball and plenty of star power still on the floor, the 2026 edition of the All-Star Game hopes to deliver the energy and competitiveness the league has been aiming to bring back to its midseason showcase.
